YELLOW FISH
This week I’ve been in Brighton at the Yellow Fish Music Group. The space consists of two studios and an additional mobile recording facility. Here I’ve been fortunate enough to mix a track by The Shoestrung on the very same 48 track desk used to record Queen live at Wembley. This should accompany the band’s performance on the next edition of the Yellow Fish Sessions so watch this space. I’ve also helped transfer old analogue tape recordings into digital format. The archive stored here is truly remarkable and includes original recordings of Led Zeppelin and Queen.
Today I worked alongside Engineer Jake Rousham (Nick Cave, Snow Patrol, Fat Boy Slim) on the recording of a Brighton based singer songwriter. This was followed by a stint in the mobile studio mixing a live performance. I should be uploading some pictures in the coming weeks so keep a look out.
